Always going into a new year with lofty goals, I ask myself, "Bonnie, are you going to sink, swim or soar?" Safe to bet, my answer is the latter and I plan on doing it with lots of gusto.
As I looked at this picture and worked on it, the gap between the reflection of the trees (those leaves are the river rocks below the surface) and the side of the bank where the ladder is just seemed to get deeper and deeper. Almost as if you could step off that ladder and make a choice. The obvious is that there is water there, but what a beautiful sky. Instead of swimming, why not fly?
As we stand on the edge of the river bank of life ready to make a move, sometimes we have a tendency to hesitate. If you hesitate too long, you never know what you miss out on, so jump! Jump and soar as far as your wings will take you.
