"Put A Cork In It" © Bonnie Feaster Chapa
This one is kind of my artistic answer to those who have criticized digital photo manipulation as not being an art form. Put A Cork In It. Photo manipulation is form of digital art that involves photography, illustration, and graphic design all at the same time and there are so, so many styles. Just because it is not traditional paint on a brush hitting the canvas does not mean it isn’t art.
There is a vision there just like when a writer writes a story. If they type it out on a computer vs. using pen and paper does that mean it is any less of a story? Of course not. Creativity has no limit and those unknowns we discover as we create are hard to define.
I see a hint of Monet here, realism in the center with a little bit of pop art all over that cork. What you may see could be something very different and that is ok, too. That is one of the many things that makes each of us unique; our vision, our imagination, our creativity, is all our own.
Created from an original photo Bonnie Feaster Chapa took at the Frio River, Summer 2013.
Hand signed by Bonnie Feaster Chapa.
